PASTOR, AUTHOR, THEOLOGIAN
Check out this short interview clip, about my upcoming book, Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart: How to Know for Sure You Are Saved. The book will be released by B&H Publishing on February 1, 2013.
hey JD! Pumped for your book!
However, I was on youtube the other day and noticed that someone put up an ‘antithesis’ video to the thesis entailed in your upcoming book. Obviously, they havent read it yet, so I dont know why they are already making brash assumptions…but in case you hadnt seen it already, here it is:
I work closely with J.D. and thought I’d follow up with you (on his behalf) on your comment here.
Thanks for the heads-up on the video. As you insinuate, it’s a little problematic to argue against a book that hasn’t come out yet. In this case, it seems that the “antithesis” video misses the point. J.D. has actually posted an excerpt from the upcoming book addressing some possible misconceptions, including the one that drives that video–I’ve linked it below.
I do hope that most people will wait to give the book a fair hearing on its own terms. Once the book is published and his whole train of thought is out there, it is completely open to critique. Until then, it’s best that we reserve judgment.
Very true JD. Not only must the Gospel be clear but also the way in which we present how to properly respond to the gospel — repentance and faith.
