My good friends and fellow Summiteers Jeff and Marsha Fisher have put together a new blog and website called "Porn to Purity." They have an incredible story of pornography addiction, near-marital destruction, a fall from the ministry, and healing and restoration. They have really produced some good stuff in this site and blog.

I would like to thank Jeff and Marsha for being willing to talk about their struggles openly to help others. Porn is a hidden cancer with-in the church that is destroying our ability to experience revival because of the lack of repentance among believers. Too many of us are “sorry” for our sin, but too in love with it to turn from it in repentance (2 Cor. 7:9-10) Another problem in the church is porn is either too taboo for some people to talk about, or viewed too lightly to be taken seriously by others. The fact is it needs to be brought to light so that people can find redemption in Christ from their habitual sin.
I speak not as an accuser of men and women in this situation, but as one who has experienced God’s forgiveness and redemption from sexual sin (porn addiction). The revelation of this sin in my life to my wife was THE most crushing moment in both our lives. However God took the pieces of what MY addiction to sin had destroyed and put them back together into a marriage much deeper and beautiful than anything we EVER had before. God is faithful to His word if we will humble ourselves and commit our hearts to Him and turn from our sin in repentance. He will deliver…the road will be HARD, but the abundant life and restored fellowship with Christ is so worth the pain. Men and women of God…love God and his glory more than you love your sin. It is only there that you will find the joy and peace from the pain you are trying to medicate with the fleeting pleasures of this world. (1 Jn 2:15-17) Advice from one who has been redeemed from slavery to porn. THANK YOU JESUS!
They have been son candid on their site. Great stuff!
We’re so grateful to Pastor J.D. for his friendship and for his desire to help those struggling with porn to get help.
It was only 3 years ago that our world fell apart because of Jeff’s porn struggles. We lost our ministry and were asked to move. Raleigh has been a place for us to find healing through Christian counselors, sexual addiction support groups, good churches like Summit, and others who understand what we struggle with.
Perhaps our site, podcasts, and stories can bring you strength and encouragement as you find God’s healing.
